How we test

Every TradeCookbook guide is completed on a real, funded account and documented with our own screenshots. Here's exactly what that means — and what we deliberately don't do.

Real, funded accounts

We open and fund real accounts and complete every task ourselves — no simulators, no demo modes, no second-hand reports. If a step needs a deposit, a verification or a real trade, we do it.

Original screenshots

Each step is captured from our own screen, never stock imagery. Screenshots are dated and personal details are redacted, so you see exactly where to click while our data stays private.

What “Tested” means

The “Tested: <date> · app v<version>” stamp shows when we last completed the walkthrough end-to-end and on which app version. Trading apps change often — the date tells you how fresh the steps are.

When we re-check

We re-test when a platform ships a meaningful UI change and revisit popular guides on a regular cadence. The “Updated” date always reflects the latest revision.

What we don’t do

We don’t assign scores, star ratings or “best” verdicts, and we never take payment to change what we document. TradeCookbook is a practical guide and knowledge hub — not a ranking or watchdog site.

Corrections

Spotted something out of date or wrong? Tell us and we’ll re-test, fix it and update the date. On money topics, accuracy matters more than being first.

This page describes our process; it is general information, not financial advice. Trading crypto and forex carries significant risk.
